In a rescheduled clash that seemed destined for déjà vu, the Bonney Lake Panthers faced off against the Lakes Lancers on their home turf this Saturday afternoon. With last week's rainout haunting both teams, anticipation was palpable as the clouds loomed overhead. Yet, fate smiled upon the baseball deities, allowing the game to unfold without a hitch until the very end.

Bonney Lake, perched comfortably with a 5-1 record and undefeated in league play, entered the fray as a formidable force, chasing only Stadium in the league standings. Lakes, on the other hand, found themselves struggling at the bottom with a 1-3-1 record, desperately seeking redemption on the diamond.

Taking the mound for Bonney Lake was Wyatt Vincent, whose presence as a starting pitcher proved instrumental in setting the tone for the Panthers. From the outset, Vincent's command held the Lancers at bay, dismantling their offensive efforts with precision.

The Panthers wasted no time asserting their dominance, drawing first blood in the opening inning. Trevor Younce ignited the scoring frenzy with a blistering RBI single up the middle, swiftly followed by Keegan Parker's sacrifice fly to deep left, pushing the Panthers ahead 2-0 early on.

Vincent's commanding presence endured, stifling the Lancers once more in the second inning. However, it was in the third inning that Bonney Lake truly unleashed their offensive arsenal. Karsten Ingersoll, Caleb Carbonell, Carson Hughes, and Ryan Cannady orchestrated a symphony of singles, each contributing to the mounting lead as the Panthers surged ahead 7-0.

Vincent's departure in the fourth inning marked a commendable performance, tallying an impressive 8 strikeouts while conceding only one walk and one earned run across 4.2 innings. Though the Panthers briefly faltered in the fifth inning, surrendering three runs, their commanding lead remained intact at 9-3.

Trent Blake

With victory on the horizon, the Panthers turned to left-handed pitcher Trent Blake to seal the deal. Blake's entrance signaled a shutdown performance, extinguishing any hopes of a Lancers' resurgence as he navigated through 2.1 innings and striking out 6 batters.

As the rain began to descend in the bottom of the sixth inning, Blake seized the moment, driving in one final run to extend the Panthers' lead to 10-3 before closing out the game in emphatic fashion.

With this commanding display, Bonney Lake solidifies their stature as a force to be reckoned with in the league. As they set their sights on their next challenge against Lincoln High School on Tuesday, the Panthers undoubtedly carry the momentum of today's victory, poised to conquer whatever lies ahead on the diamond.
