Bonney Lake baseball is starting to find its rhythm, and the results are following.
Â
Riding a strong stretch of play, the Panthers kept things rolling Saturday with a 9-4 win over Bethel, using an explosive start and steady pitching to stay in control from the opening inning.
Â
Bonney Lake wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for five runs in the bottom of the first inning to immediately put Bethel on its heels.
Â

Senior Trenton Fowler delivered one of the standout performances of the young season, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a three-run home run to center field in the opening inning. He added singles in the fourth and sixth innings, finishing with three RBIs and continuing to emerge as a key bat in the middle of the lineup.
Â
The Panthers kept the pressure on in the fourth inning, plating four more runs to extend the lead to 9-2. Bonney Lake finished with 13 hits on the day, showcasing depth and production throughout the order.
Â
Junior Parker contributed a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while catcher Jace Abe added two hits and continues to be one of the team’s most reliable run producers, driving in a team-high seven RBIs on the season.
Â
Lucas Miller and Wyatt Vincent each added RBIs as well. Miller has been one of the Panthers’ most consistent hitters early on, batting .346 and leading the team with eight RBIs, while Vincent continues to impact the game in multiple ways both at the plate and on the mound.
Â

On the mound, junior Ryan Cannady delivered a strong performance in just his second start of the season, striking out 10 batters over four innings while allowing two runs on four hits. The outing earned Cannady his first win of the year and added to what has been an impressive start, with 11 strikeouts across six innings pitched.
Â
Cannady’s emergence adds to a pitching staff that is beginning to take shape early in the season. Wyatt Vincent has set the tone with 23 strikeouts over 16 innings, while Gavin Jennings has also been effective, recording 11 strikeouts across eight innings and picking up a win of his own, giving the Panthers multiple reliable arms as they continue to build consistency on the mound.
Â
Brett Pederson came on in relief to close things out, earning the save as the Panthers maintained control down the stretch. Bonney Lake also stayed aggressive on the basepaths, swiping four stolen bases and continuing to apply pressure offensively throughout the game, a trend that has helped fuel their recent success.
Â
Bethel showed some fight late, including a two-run home run in the sixth inning, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome as the Panthers secured another strong win.
Â
With the victory, Bonney Lake continues to build momentum, showing a lineup capable of producing up and down the order and a pitching staff that is beginning to take shape as the season progresses.
