The Bonney Lake Panthers capped off a memorable Senior Night last Thursday with a 7–0 win over the Yelm Tornados, celebrating six seniors who have been the heart of the program. What began as an evening of gratitude quickly turned into a showcase of teamwork and energy, as the Panthers controlled the pace from the opening whistle.

The team delivered an unforgettable performance on Senior Night from the opening kickoff. Right off the bat, Abby Arneson struck first with a goal in the 1st minute, assisted by Sloane Ottele off a precise through pass from Layla Davisson. Arneson struck again in the 6th minute, giving the team an early 2–0 lead and igniting the home crowd.

Davisson continued to push the attack, firing a strong shot in the 8th minute, while Madison Campbell came inches away from scoring in the 13th minute with a shot that nearly clipped the top right corner. Lauren Grinstead, one of the night’s honored seniors, followed up with a beautiful strike that just grazed the top left post in the 19th minute.

The offensive momentum didn’t stop there. Campbell got her goal in the 35th minute, then Davisson added a quick goal in the 38th minutes, sending the team into halftime with a commanding lead, 4-0.

Coming out of the break, Haley Grimit wasted no time finding an open net, scoring just 10 seconds into the second half. Brynn Fitch, another senior standout, joined in on the action, scoring with a goal in the 4th minute of the half. Davisson later created another golden opportunity but narrowly missed a 1v1 chance in the 59th minute. Rounding out the night, Grinstead found the back of the net in the 72nd minute, assisted by Ottele, sealing the team’s statement win.

This game was especially meaningful as the team celebrated its seniors, Brynn Fitch, Haley Grimit, Lauren Grinstead, Aly Thompson, Ava Damoiseaux, and Abby Granberg, for their leadership, dedication, and impact on the program. Their hard work and passion have left a lasting legacy both on and off the field, ending with a perfect Senior Night, full of goals, energy, and a well-deserved celebration of a talented and united team.

The Panthers will next host Rogers this coming Thursday, which will be their last home game of the season. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Night!
